As a student of digital marketing in Ottawa, it's no secret to me that understanding digital marketing can be an essential tool among students in securing marketing jobs at an entry-level. In fact, with digital marketing spending on the rise among many of the top companies in the world, digital marketers are becoming more sought after, although consequently, digital marketing jobs are becoming all the more competitive in the meantime.

Things have come so far that in 2020, it's almost a well known fact that a company with no digital marketing efforts would face adversity beyond belief in setting up or promoting a business. Simply put, the majority of modern consumers have re-tuned their lives to such an extent that digital marketing is almost impossible to avoid. This is exactly why digital marketing jobs have become more crucial than ever in 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, as consumers have spent more time than ever stuck at home, with even the more traditional consumer having to update some of the marketing channels that they have previously been subjected to, due to convenience and a lack of access to alternative options.
It should come as no surprise to anyone that having qualifications in relevant areas can help you find a job, however there are smaller things that I've learned about throughout my time studying digital marketing in Ottawa that can increase the likelihood of a company looking in your direction when hiring for entry-level marketing jobs, specifically in digital marketing.
If you're looking to apply for jobs in digital marketing, creating content of your own and publishing it online is a sure-fire way of proving to employers that you're not only interested in the field of content marketing, but that you possess the skills required to do it.
